Famous members of AAC include golfers Bobby Jones, Charlie Yates, Alexa Stirling, Watts Gunn, Dot Kirby, and Tommy Barnes; tennis players Nat Thornton and Bitsy Grant; and basketball player Bob Kurland. In the 2004 film Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius, many of the golf scenes were filmed at AAC.

Membership at the Atlanta Country Club is by invitation only, and the cost of membership is not publicly disclosed. However, it is estimated that the initiation fee is in the range of $150,000 to $200,000, with ongoing annual dues being rumored around $20,000.

Although we are a private club, members are welcome to invite and accompany guests to Atlanta Athletic Club to enjoy a round of golf, a nice meal, or any of our other exclusive amenities.
